Overview
Image to Text is a fast and simple OCR app that lets you extract text from images, photos, and screenshots.
You can copy or share the extracted text in just a few taps.
Getting Started
1. Choose a Photo
Tap “Choose Photo” to select an image from your photo library.
2. Take a Photo
Tap “Take Photo” to capture an image using your camera.
Extracting Text
Once an image is selected:
- The app will automatically process the image
- Text will be extracted using OCR
- You will be taken to the results screen
Viewing Results
On the results screen, you can:
- Select text by tapping and dragging
- Copy text to your clipboard
- Share text using the share button
Free Scans & Upgrade
You can try the app with a limited number of free scans.
After reaching the limit:
- A paywall will appear
- You can unlock unlimited scans with a one-time purchase
Restoring Purchases
If you have already purchased Pro:
- Open Settings
- Tap Restore Purchase
Your purchase will be restored automatically.
Settings
Access Settings via the gear icon in the top-right corner.
From here you can:
- Restore purchases
- Rate and review the app
- View other apps
Permissions
The app may request access to:
- Camera – to take photos
- Photo Library – to select images
These are used only for text extraction.
Tips
- Use clear, well-lit images for best results
- Screenshots typically produce the most accurate text
- Avoid blurry or low-contrast images
