SIMPLE ISA INFO

What is Pending?

Pending is a simple way to keep track of the things that are out of your hands — but not out of your responsibility.

It’s not a to-do list.

It’s a place for the items you’re waiting on:

refunds, deliveries, forms, applications, emails, health appointments, work follow-ups, and anything else that shouldn’t quietly disappear.

Pending helps you see, at a glance, what’s:

  • waiting
  • due to be chased
  • overdue
  • resolved

So nothing slips through the cracks.

Core ideas

Pending is designed to be:

  • Calm
  • Fast
  • Scannable
  • Reliable

There are no priorities, streaks, badges, or productivity theatre.

Just the things that are still pending.

Creating an item

Tap + to add a new pending item.

Each item has:

  • Title — what you’re waiting on
  • Category — helps keep related items grouped
  • Started date — when this began
  • Chase date — when you plan to follow it up
  • Notes (optional) — context, names, references, details

Once saved, the item appears in your main list, grouped by category.

Understanding item status

Pending automatically shows the state of each item based on today’s date:

  • Waiting — the chase date is in the future
  • Due to chase — the chase date is today
  • Overdue — the chase date has passed
  • Resolved — the item has been completed

This lets you scan your list and immediately see what needs attention.

Reminders (Pending Pro)

With Pending Pro, you can enable reminders.

If reminders are turned on:

  • Pending will schedule a notification for the morning of the chase date
  • You’ll be reminded when it’s time to follow something up

Reminders can be enabled or disabled at any time in Settings.

Resolving items

When something is finished, open the item and tap Mark as Resolved.

Resolved items:

  • are removed from your active list
  • appear in Archive
  • keep their original dates and notes for reference

This gives you a lightweight record of what you’ve already chased and completed.

The Archive

The Archive is a read-only history of resolved items.

You can:

  • review past notes
  • check dates
  • confirm when something was completed

Archived items can’t be edited, which keeps your active list clean and trustworthy.

Categories

Categories help separate different types of pending items, such as:

  • Deliveries
  • Refunds
  • Admin
  • Work
  • Health

You choose the category when creating or editing an item.

Your main list is automatically grouped to keep things scannable.

Pending Pro

Pending is free to use for light tracking.

Pending Pro unlocks:

  • Unlimited active items
  • Follow-up reminders

Pro is a one-time purchase.

Data & privacy

Pending stores all your items on your device.

It does not require an account.

It does not track you.

It does not upload your data to external servers.

Notifications are handled entirely by your device.

You can view the full privacy policy here:

Tips for using Pending well

• Keep titles short and factual

• Use notes for names, dates, and context

• Pick a realistic chase date — not the ideal one

• Resolve items as soon as they’re done

• Let Pending be a holding space, not a task manager

If it’s something you need to do, it probably belongs elsewhere.

If it’s something you’re waiting on, it belongs in Pending.
